옴니-프레젠트(Omni-Present)는 아티스트 양아라와 큐레이터 양효라가 동등한 파트너십을 기반으로 결성한 동시대 예술 콜렉티브이다.이들은 기존의 위계적 구조를 넘어, 공동의 자원과 협업적 연구, 공동 저자성을 통해 창작과 기획의 영역을 대화의 장으로 확장한다. 옴니-프레젠트는 예술을 고정된 결과물이 아닌 살아 있는 과정으로 인식하며, 예술이 놓인 환경과 그것이 마주하는 사람들, 그리고 동시대의 조건에 따라 끊임없이 이동하고 변화하는 것으로 바라본다. 예술은 특정한 장소에 정주하는 대상이 아니라, 반응하고 변형되며 새로운 관계를 생성하는 능동적인 존재로 이해된다. 이러한 이해를 바탕으로 이들은 사회적·생태적 현실에 대한 개입을 통해 예술적 실천과 큐레이토리얼 사유의 지속 가능한 양식을 모색한다.
Omni-Present is a contemporary art collective formed through an equal partnership between artist Ahra Yang and curator Hyora Yang. Working beyond conventional hierarchies, the collective brings artistic practice and curatorial thinking into dialogue through shared resources, collaborative research, and co-authorship. Omni-Present approaches art as a living process rather than a fixed outcome—one that shifts and evolves in relation to its environment, the people it encounters, and the conditions of its time. Art is understood not as something that settles in a place, but as an active presence, capable of responding, transforming, and generating new relationships. On this basis, they explore sustainable modes of artistic practice and curatorial thinking through an engagement with social and ecological realities.
Ahra Yang
작가 양아라는 매체 간의 경계를 허무는 융복합 예술 실험을 전개한다. 그녀는 동시대 환경에서 인공물과 자연물의 경계가 무너진 자연 생태학적 지형에 주목하며, 그 속에서 뒤엉켜 있는 이질적인 관계와 상호작용을 집중적으로 탐구한다. 작가는 회화, 설치, 미디어아트 등 다양한 매체를 병치하거나 결합함으로써, 인공적인 환경과 유기적인 물질이 단순한 대립을 넘어 새로운 생태 시스템을 구축하는 과정을 입체적으로 담아낸다. 이러한 시도는 생태계의 회복력과 미래적 공존을 모색하며, 생명과 환경에 대한 구체적인 돌봄 실천을 예술적 관행으로 구현하는 것을 목표로 한다. 양아라는 이화여자대학교 조형예술학부를 졸업하고, 영국 왕립예술대학(RCA)에서 조소과, 영국 세인트마틴(CSM)에서 순수미술 석사과정을 졸업했다.
Artist Ahra Yang develops interdisciplinary artistic experiments that blur the boundaries between media. Her practice examines contemporary ecological landscapes where the distinction between the artificial and the natural has collapsed, focusing on the heterogeneous relationships entangled within these environments. Working across painting, installation, and media art, she juxtaposes diverse materials to illustrate how artificial conditions and organic matter move beyond simple opposition to form new ecological systems. Through these explorations, she engages with questions of resilience and future coexistence, translating tangible acts of care for life and the environment into artistic practice. She holds a BA in Sculpture from Ewha Womans University, an MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art, and an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins(UAL).
Hyora Yang
큐레이터 양효라는 예술계 안팎에서 나타나는 다양한 역동성—작가/큐레이터, 사적/공적 영역, 주최/초대, 소유/관리, 그리고 인간/비인간—을 탐구한다. 그녀의 관행은 큐레이토리얼 환대라는 방법론으로 확장되며, 상호 학습, 지식과 경험의 공유, 공동 자원을 위한 공간을 구축하고 초대하는 실천을 지향한다. 그녀는 급속한 생산 중심 개발과 도시화로 인해 주변 환경과 사회적 공간이 빠르게 쇠락하거나 방치되는 현상에 주목하는데, 이러한 맥락에서 그녀는 큐레이토리얼 관행이 단순한 중개 역할을 넘어, 예술적 개입을 통해 단절된 생태 및 관계를 회복시키는재생적 장이 될 수 있도록 시도한다. 양효라는 영국 골드스미스대학에서 큐레이팅을 전공하고, 영국 왕립예술대학(RCA)에서 큐레이팅 석사 과정을 졸업하였다.
Curator Hyora Yang examines the diverse dynamics emerging both within and beyond the art world—notably those between artist and curator, private and public spheres, host and guest, and ownership and stewardship, as well as human and non-human actors. Her practice is driven by a methodology of curatorial hospitality, oriented towards mutual learning, the sharing of knowledge, and the creation of spaces that foster collective resources. Attentive to the rapid decline of environments and social spaces caused by production-driven urbanisation, she seeks to reposition curatorial practice. Rather than a mere mediating role, she proposes the exhibition as a regenerative site capable of restoring disrupted ecological and relational conditions through artistic intervention. She holds a BA in Curating from Goldsmiths, University of London, and an MA in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art.
